November meeting summary and next event

Hi all,

Thanks to everyone who came along last night, it was a great turn out, we even had to find extra chairs to fit everyone in, so that was excellent.

Special thanks to Jamie and Paul for their presentations and Digital Tutors for their raffle prizes of a couple of 1 month subscriptions to their online training library (I'll be in touch with the winners shortly). Lee Phillips from Bluegfx was also on hand to answer questions.

After 4 events in Cardiff, we'll finally be heading to Bristol for our next group get together. Date and location to be confirmed but provisionally we're looking at late February / early March.

If anyone has ideas for presentations they may feel would be interesting to the group please drop me an email at colin.hanford@arup.com and we'll sort something out.

So thanks again for coming along, have a great Christmas break and we'll catch up in the new year.

Cheers,
Colin

iToo Software launches RailClone2. The new revolutionary parametric modelling tool for 3ds Max.

The developers of Forest Pack create a new approach to parametric modeling with a completely revamped version of the plugin, providing a wide range of applications for Architecture, Industrial Design and Civil Engineering.

iToo Software is proud to announce the release of RailClone2, the new parametric modelling plugin for Autodesk® 3ds Max® and 3ds Max Design®. A Lite version of the software is freely available to download as well as release notes, both on iToosoft website.

RailClone2 introduces an innovative approach to parametric modelling. Custom meshes, defined by the user, are arrayed along splines according to a set of construction rules to create sophisticated procedural objects. This new concept allows you to build complex, realistic and interactive structures for Architectural Visualization, Civil Engineering, Industrial and Interior Design. Use the comprehensive library, or create your own rules in the new graphical Style Editor with a familiar workflow that is easy to learn, and fast to use. Create a whole building facade, fill a stadium with seating, or build bridges and much more with only a few clicks.

About iToosoft. iToo Software, founded in 1999 in Spain, is a 3D software development company, creators of Forest Pack and RailClone, plugins for Autodesk® 3ds Max® and 3ds Max Design®. This release is part of the company´s developing program for 2013, which had its first milestone with the release of Forest Pack 4, and will keep on with additional updates throughout the year.
